United Way invites and encourages you to join us for our Youth Worker Cafe, Nurturing Resilience: Empowering Youth After Trauma. This café will provide a deep dive into how to implement coping skills in youth who have experienced life trauma.
During the Youth Worker Cafe, you will learn:
- To understand the impact of trauma on whole-person health
- To identify strategies to implement and maintain trauma-sensitive interventions with youth
This Event Is Offered In Partnership With:
- Kosciusko Cares
- United Way of Whitley & Kosciusko Counties
Trauma is pervasive. Recent research indicates that as many as 64% of individuals will experience trauma before entering adulthood. Due to the toxic stress, it becomes extremely difficult for youth to engage their brains in academic and social settings.
During this session, participants will learn how to rewire the brain and help youth implement coping skills to be used at school, at home, and in the community!
This event is free to attend and lunch will be included. Please click below to register!
